Nocturnal Enuresis

Also known as Bedwetting, is the involuntary urination during sleep in children over age 5 or adults. It can be caused by various factors including genetic predisposition, deep sleep, hormonal imbalances, or urinary tract infections. From a psychological point of view, Nocturnal Enuresis may be linked to behavioral or emotional issues, stress, anxiety or trauma. Children experiencing family conflicts, school pressure or major life changes may be more prone to such conditions. These factors disrupt the body’s control over urination at night during sleep.

Treatment options vary and may include behavioral strategies, medication, and addressing underlying conditions. Addressing emotional well-being through counseling and other supportive interventions like training, medication, can help in managing and reducing the incidents of Bedwetting.
