Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

6 or more of the symptoms from each category (inattention and hyperactivity) present for at least 6 months. For adults (age>17 years), 5 or more symptoms.
A. Inattention:
1. Poor attention to details/frequent mistakes.
2. Hard to maintain attention/focus
3. When spoken to, appears not to listen.
4. Poor follow through on tasks
5. Poor organizational skills.
6. Procrastinates from tasks requiring attention
7. Loses things
8. Distractible
9. Forgetfulness
B. Hyperactivity/Impulsivity:
1. Fidgety/restless
2. Cannot stay seated
3. Runs/climbs inappropriately
4. Cannot do things quietly (e.g., play)
5. Cannot keep still
6. Inappropriately talkative
7. Inappropriately blurts out answers
8. Cannot wait his turn
9. Interrupts others
C. Symptoms present in two or more settings (home, school, work, with friends etc.)
D. Functional impairment (Social, academic and/or occupational)
E. Absence of other psychiatric illness.
